Anyone heard of Santana Diving and Canoeing in Patong?

I'm looking into taking the Open water PADI diver course through, 'Santana Diving and Canoeing,' that are based in Patong. Has anyone been diving with them? How was your experience?

Also, for all you diver's out there; Is 12,000 baht a reasonable price to pay for the PADI open water certificate course?

    Cheers

Sounds a bit on the high side to me, but I did mine ages ago.

The price is about right for an open water course.

Try Asian adventures if they're still round, also Patong.

    I paid 10K about 3 years ago.
You will want to check their facility where they do the training. Like the pool where initial training will be done.

You might also check Dive Asia they are the biggest operator in Phuket and they have a very nice training facility in Kata. Dive Asia also has the biggest and nicest boats. It's low season so prices should be very competitive.

Santana Diving is the oldest established Diving business in Phuket. I haven't been with them personally, but, I know they have a very good reputation.

^Thanks for the information. I see that Santana's has been around for 12 years, so I thought they would be a safe bet.

Likewise, I'll also check up on Dive Asia.

Thanks y'all. Should be an adventure.

^^Let's hope the equipment they rent hasn't been around that long.
One of the reasons I chose Dive Asia was that they were supposed to have the best rental equipment. The equipment they provide is an important aspect.

Santana always used to be a German Dive shop.

Asian adventures are now rebranded as Siam Adventure Divers.
