Hope to become a regular poster\visitor to the forum. Have been traveling to thailand for many years, married to a Thai and hopping to start building a new home there very soon. :D
Posting via a very slow South American server :mad: at the moment with the promise of a faster connection soom. We will see.

We have a home in Isan Salaphom a short drive from RoiEt. We have recently bought a plot about 10K out side Pattaya. I have just booked a flight to be in Thailand on the 8th Sept. So it will be a mad rush to find a builder to make a start. Plans have been produced so I am quite excited about the build.
I would like a builder to construct the house with me supplying the material. the inside would then be finnished as time allows. Anyone have any coments on this aproach to building.

Will you goto the site everyday and then go off and order materials everyday? What happens when the shop you ordered a tonne of cement from only delivers half a tonne? Will you then go off to another shop to order another half a tonne and then lead there delivery driver to where the project is? On basic building materials builders get a discount, this helps with there profit margin, I don't think someone walking into a builders merchants for the first time will qualify for that discount as you are just a one off customer.Quote:
