Wife and I headed off on a week trip to Koh Yao Yai. I always like these trips because you cover all 3 transportation methods; Land, Air and Sea.

Trip there was pretty smooth albeit the sea part was a fun ride as the oceans were quite rough as it was storming as we left the mainland and my wife and this other gal on board white knuckled it. :). Nice boat and only 4 people.

Got to dock and rain was still coming down. You get an umbrella and you walk to the hotel check in.

Our room was a pool villa with an outstanding private pool and Jacuzzi. We got settled in and I relaxed in the pool.

My morning view before I jogged along the beach. When its not raining, the pier has a real nice bar at the end to enjoy. Its still got a long way to go to recover from Covid. The resort itself is pretty empty, lots of things you can do but it is clearly understaffed right now.

My view from the pool as a nice tropical storm blew in.
The island itself is very small. There are a few other resorts but this is designed to be an all inclusive type stay and you really do not go off as it has everything here. The weather has been on and off rain as one would expect this time of year.
