They are great fun, been in two but my best was the Maoist overthrow start in Nepal in 2005 when the then King locked it all down, we had to have Nepal Army march us in and out of our own Army camp. The whole confined to barracks got old after a week, they had a shoot to kill 6-6 policy but beer is mightier than the wobbly head and I popped out when a Nepali mate was having a cheeky party. All went well until we tried getting back at 5am across the Bagmati and a few bullets pinged off cars as we ranted his 125cc up the hill, funny how the bike seemed quick in normal traffic but felt like a slug up that hill with me as a human shield on the back.
