Hals Falafel Kebab for Piss heads

Anyway, I had a go at falafel a few weeks ago. I used to live on them when I was in the Middle East and still get the odd craving for them now.

Soaked the chickpeas overnight and blended them with onion, garlic, parsley and spices...

...and on the 3rd fucking attempt finally got something like the right consistency. Your balls have gotta be nice and firm because if they're too wet, it'll be a right mess. ;)

As the night went on, I made more and more, all the while getting steadily pissed, so that the only picture I have of the final kebabs/sandwiches is this pretty blurred effort.

Taste was good and the outsides were nice and crispy, but they were still a little too doughy in the middle. 7-7.5/10 I'd say.

Something different Hal than the usual food on here, only ever bought them pre made from the supermarket, nice dipped in fresh Humous or on crispy fresh bread.

Not too shabby, good effort.

I did the cooking and spelling and Chitty posted the pictures. :)

Looks good, but chuck those roti and wrap the balls in a fresh laffa, light spread of humus, salads and chilli to taste, drips of tahina and you're off to falafel heaven.

And for those who have never had a falafel at the corner of soi LK and Buakhao, don't waste your 100 bt, they're crap.
