One year extension to stay Roi Et Immigration Office
I did 65k baht per month method.
They required bank statement showing min 65k baht per month transfered in. I had bank statement and bank book but did not show 65k per month. I only sent funds in when I needed. Sometimes 200k every couple months. They will not average over the year.
Note, in the past always used US Embassy letter of income which they no longer issue so bank statement was not required.
To remedy this they said they would accept copy of 1099 forms which show Social Security and Company retirement earnings. For non Americans, 1099 is what you get for purpose of tax filing. Just happened to have them on my phone so quick trip to shop across the street for printouts.
Gave them 1099 copies and got the extension.
Next year as I now have monthly auto transfer in excess of 65k baht to Bangkok Bank will be no need for 1099s.
Note, My local Bangkok Bank branch will only do a 6 month statement. A full year takes 7 days so will have to make sure I request the statement at least 7 days before extension runs out.
Forgot to bring recent pictures but they took them at the IO. 100 baht. :)
Total time about 1 hour.
Total cost, 1,900 baht for extension, 100 baht for pics, and 100 baht to Bangkok Bank for statement.
This only applies to Roi Et IO. Best check requirements at your local office before your extension is due.
