Haven't been down south much and want to take the family down for a holiday while it's so dam hot.
It'll be me, the Mrs, 2 small kids and the MIL.
Want it to be family friendly but also have some light night life where I can take the Mrs.
We are looking at Koh Chang, plan to fly and drive a hire car. I hear the ferry over is not too bad.
Want to keep it under 5K THB a night for either 2 resort rooms, or preferrably a 3+ bedroom villa.
Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers.
Consider Khao Lak. One of my favorate beach destinations. Lot's of resorts on the beach. Should be able to get 2 very nice rooms for about 4k baht per night.Quote:

Have to fly to Phuket. Most hotels have pickup at airport. You can also rent a car at airport and drive up to Khao Lak. About 1 hour drive.
Ko phayam is great.
Island groups off Satun and Trang Provinces.

Bugger the beaches ! Far too much sand. Gather up all the family, toddlers included, and take them all for a fun packed holiday at the Nana Hotel, Soi 4 Sukhumwit, Bangers.
Two swimming pools, no sand, and a Burger King around the corner. Sheer bliss !
