Lamborghini CEO Reports Indo Slut Dewi Persik to Police for Defamation

Jakarta. The chief executive of Lamborghini Jakarta on Friday reported dangdut singer Dewi Persik to police for defamation, after rumors were spread that the two were married.
“The reason why we reported her is because Dewi Persik takes this news lightly,” Johnson Yaptonaga, CEO of Lamborghini Jakarta, said after filing the report in Jakarta on Friday. “This report is a lesson for her not to take it lightly.”
Dewi told the media recently that she had been married to a businessman of Chinese descent named Johnson, who used the Twitter handle @ZionPutra. Even though she did not mention a complete name, her description of the alleged husband led some media outlets to conclude that she was referring to Johnson of Lamborghini. But Johnson denies.
“Someone made it, that Twitter account is not mine,” he said, adding that his relationship with Dewi was strictly business.
“It was a professional relationship, I never communicated [personally] with her. I kept silent, but it [the rumors] only got worse.”
Johnson’s lawyer, Hotman Paris Hutapea, said that his client had warned Dewi to stop talking to media about her relationship with Johnson, but the warnings were ignored.
If convicted of defamation, Dewi could face more than five years in prison. She was just released in May, after serving a prison term for fighting with artist Julia Perez on stage.
