What route from the west side Bangkok to the east side on a motor bike?

What route from the west side Bangkok to the east side on a motor bike?
As I don't have a GPS :)

I know I could go around the north side of Bangkok but one of you's bikers may know a easy way through the middle.:)

Put bike on the ferry

Using this you can use your odometer also you can use Google Street view to print out pictures of the junctions.

This route avoids downtown. if you don't want to go on the ferry you can take the industrial ring which drops you down on Rama III then you have to work your way through town etc.. but the ferry route is more scenic etc. for the most part you will be following everyone else.

If you want to avoid major highways you can modify your route to and from ferry.

If you want Bang Pakong power station that is a different end point.

You can also plan to and from on Bing Maps in English gives distances,for speed ease of not getting lost if sole purpose is transit yake the admittely easier ring road but few hold ups on a bike,you can add mid points and some of the address is English and also Thai (I cannot read all Thai but often only need first few characters on big rd sign plus often erratic numbering to confirm the junctions)

Is there a car ferry at Phra Samut Chedi to Pak Nam

I would say no.

There is a picture of the ferry on Flickr but I cannot post it.

I should add that I don't think there are any more car ferries across the Chao Praya. All replaced by bridges. Just the motorbike one I mentioned.
