Thai language computer programs

When it comes to the Thai language there are numerous ways to improve your ability and, as we all know, everyone has a different natural method for learning.
There are books to study, courses you can take, and as Donleavy pointed out, one of the most rewarding ways is to learn from bargirls.
For those with a modern perspective there are also a number of computer programs that you can use.
I'd like to share some of the programs I've picked up over time and show some of the features and give a bit of a review.

The first one I'll look at is the Eurotalk 'Learn Thai' cd.
It's a fun way to learn. The setting is a bit of a game and it covers a fairly wide range of ability. There's lots of listening to help with the hardest part of the langauge and at times it's pretty advanced.
To start out it may not be the best choice but at 100 baht from Panthip you may as well grab it while you're there.

From the roulette wheel you choose which topic you want to study and most of the lessons are multiple choice, heavily dependant on listening. The level starts fairly low with numbers, fruit and start up phrases. There are also other options like the TV which is a crazy game show with you up against a fat Aussie bloke and you have to select the answer to a question before him. Funny when you whip his butt.
The blank page is a reading comprehension exercise. Not for beginners!
The swing doors is a speech recording studio so you can compare yourself to the computer.

This screen comes from the hammer game but unlike the game show, where your opponent is the dumb computer guy, this time you can play your girlfriend!

I'm quite fond of this one. A variety of activities and presented in an amusing fashion.

I have that cd at work but it's for learning English - I've used it quite a lot.

Can you change the language or are there different versions - I'll have a try. Trouble is I know all the answers in English .

I call it the 'Dave quiz' cd (ie. the fat bloke you have to beat)
