I was innocent-ish

Now we are in the middle of the ashes,
memories keep flooding back to the S.C.G.
1975 Aus v Eng.
A youngish peaches was sitting happily on
the famous hill, enjoying a tinnie or two,
when all hell broke loose, 1/2 empty cans
of tooheys started wizzing past young peaches
head, when one landed next to my leg, I returned
it in the direction to which it came.
Next minute the heavy hand of the law was on my
shoulder, lumbered into a paddy wagon,& down to
Darlinghurst lock up with some of my fellow combatants.
I pleaded innocent in the court the following week, but
just heard sniggering from the prosecution, the crime,
( throwing missiles ), paid the fine,& that was it.

I still maintain it was a bum rap.:)

You are supposed to drink the contents, and replace with piss before throwing.

we could have a friendly, over here in Issan land, the Aussie
old boys 11, v the Pommy geriatrics 11.
Cordon off the park, one side, the Pom spectators (dad's army)
the other side, the Aussies (the chuckers) the Aussie fans with
esky's full of Chang classic, the Pom's coolers stocked with Gin & Tonic,
and plastic cups,555 ,I could even bowl underarm to Marmite.

Where are you Marmers ? Rumors are you're up there, playing
backyard cricket ,with some other geriatrics ( using a tennis ball )
in Chiang Mai.

Truth is I miss your posts,and believe it or not,I reckon you're a
bonza bloke.
