Diazepam 5mg is available legally over the counter at most pharmacies. Take 2 & it should settle you down.
Problem is that these are all addictive drugs in the long run & you are going to have to wean yourself off them - cold-turkey style. There is no other way.
Have a chat to your doctor & let them prescribe a later-generation non-addictive sleeping tablet. Not an easy habit to wean off...
1) I think your info is old D-man post war on drugs it has been very hit and miss on over counter sales.
2) Yep they are a bit addictive but I never take them at weekend and never even think of them when I am on my two month long holidays a year
3) I went to a Thai shrink at a well known hospital who prescribed me some fucking pre-med highly addictive knock-you-out-after-ten-minutes-for-two=hours-date-rape style drugs......... TIT!!!!! After that experience I am sticking to GPs wgo can't speak english and capitalist pharmacies.
I met a doctor once who told me that they were just a little bit addictive - bollox - Xanax is a killer as are all the benzodiazepines.
I can tell you from coming off a final tolerance of 100-200mg valium a day for 5 years that there is only one drug worse to come off and that is methadone. Heroin, coke, speed, crack, yaa ba are all much easier.
If you do need to take it they short acting ones are best. You will probably be ok if you take only one or two night a week, but be very careful - I know many people who started that way only to get fully hooked. I could tell you some real horror stories.
