Deadly blast hits Thai capital
The motive for a bombing which killed at least three people and injured others in a residential building is still known.

At least three people have been killed and several others injured, after an explosion hit an residential building north of Bangkok, the Thai capital.
The blast occurred at about 6:00 pm local time (11:00 GMT) in the Bang Bua Thong district of Nonthaburi Province on Tuesday, a local police official said.
"We still don't know the cause of the explosion. Two storeys of the mansion collapsed," Colonel Somchai Hussakul, a police spokesman, said. He said the blast came from a room in the building.
The explosion came hours after Thailand's government extended a controversial state of emergency in Nonthaburi and three other provinces, including Bangkok, in the wake of deadly street protests and a series of grenade blasts in the capital.
A string of small bombings, thought to be politically motivated have hit Bangkok and the surrounding areas this year.
Authorities recently warned that stepped-up violence was expected beginning this month, and over the weekend 11 men were detained in the northern province of Chiang Mai. They are suspected of training for armed attacks on behalf of a movement to overthrow Thailand's monarchy.

An explosion at a housing estate in Nonthaburi killed two people and injured four others Tuesday evening, rescueressaid.
The Ruam Katanyu Foundation reported over its radio network that the explosion occurred at the Thippawan housing estate near Bang Bua Thong Market.
The blast caused a five-story building to collapse.

Three persons were killed and four were seriously injured after a bomb exploded on the second storey of a five-storey apartment building in Nonthaburi province, collapsed on Tuesday evening.
According to the Emergency Medical Institute, three persons were pronounced dead at the scene and the four who were seriously injured were rushed to Bang Bua Thong Hospital and Phra Nangklao Hospital.
The bomb exploded at about 6 pm on the second floor of a five-storey apartment building called Samarn Metta Mansion in Thipsuwan village off Bangkruai-Sai Noi Road in Bang Bua Thong district, the Emergency Medical Institute reported.
Three cars parked nearby the apartment were also damaged.
Police from the Scientific Crime Detection Division were examining the scene and looking for people who might have been trapped under the rubble of the collapsed mansion building.
