Foreign men come to Thailand?
1. Teachers unemployed
2. Drunks who can come here stay drunk and maybe get it on with a young whore?
3. Just seeking some excitement and or running away from something.
4. Men who love boys and can get away with it here most likely
5. Nymphomaniacs who will screw anything.
6.Or Can do it all much cheaper and more discreetly.
Where do you fit in and it could be that you fall into two categories? i.e. A drunk teacher who loves boys/men. ETC.

Got fed up in living in the UK and watching the Labour Party send it down the plug hole.
A bit of sun, surf, sand, and booze. Some exotic babes and great food. Not to mention the temples. It's cheap.
You can get pissed during the afternoon and no one bats an eyelid. Drugs are cheap and the hos are young.
You can lie around on the beach all day or hang out in a bar all day. No one knows you so you can spin all sorts of bullshit stories and no one knows the difference, endless reasons to come to Thailand.
And it's real easy to get a job and the hours are great and you get to meet lots of girls in short skirts and tight tops. (at least at my uni)
7. To take up employment in a job offered and applied for in your own country.

Extended holiday here. Wanted to relax for a few years and live somewhere different and cheap, Chose Chiang Mai. Oh yeah, women and booze......
Now I have a fiancee here and some assets, and will be switching between here and home for the foreseeable future.
I know basically three types
1. Transferred here by company
2. Based here because of #1 above, now comes on rotation from current assignment
3. Retired here, mostly because of the #1 in past.
My income wasn't enough to move to Florida and do 6 monthly visa runs to Bermuda, so it had to be a 3rd world country.
People, Food, Beaches, diving, all the stereotypes...
culture of course...oh and the temples :)
