9/11.....five years on

five years ago, extremists attacked the US and killed approx. 3000 americans.

the alleged engineer of the attacks remains at large.

NATO is pleading for assistance against the taliban in the forgotten war in afghanistan.

whether you call it 'sectarian strife' or 'civil war', over 100 iraqis are being murdered every day.

hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives are being wasted in iraq, even though there was absolutely no link between 9/11 and saddam.

donald rumsfeld remains secretary of defense.

dep. sec. of def. paul wolfowitz was named president of the world bank.

former CIA chief george tenet was awarded the nation's highest civilian honor....the medal of freedom.

whatever happened to accountability?

Just a little under 3,000 Americans got killed in 9/11.

Deaths like these are sad, of course.

But numerically, these numbers are a drop in the bucket.

This was mostly a symbolic attack.

American murdered over 100,000 Cambodian civilian men, women, and children. 9/11 was under 3,000.

I am tired of Americans making a big deal about Sept. 11.

The Americans have done many 9.11s all over the world.

Azzholes get what they deserve. Americans got what was coming to them.

Don't forget the Axis of terror: Iran, Syria, North Korea. Have we accomplished anything against any one of those three? Two of them are nuclear declared or nuclear potential. What did Iraq have to do with 9-11 or any substantial threat to anyone?

You can't fight 'terrorism' with troops and gunships, any more than you can fight drugs with cops and prisons.

2. Oil companies are making a killing in profits
3. Weapons companies are also making a killing (not pun intended)
4. And Champagne is flowing in some board rooms

I would say that Iraq has been a success for some.

That movie was OK and interesting, but hardly news. So much hype surrounding it.

Loose Change and Loose Change 2 are great documentaries on that topic.

I never said the people in the WTC deserved that.

My reference was to the actions of the Pentagon, and U.S. foreign policy around the world and in partular, in the Middle East.

Once case in point among many: the Pentagon killed 100,000 Cambodian civilain men, women, and children.

I don't see any tributes to them.

As for the Pentagon: f*ck them.
