Where I am in Bangkok its bloody freezing. I've known some cold 4 day winters in the past but this one is taking the piss. Its even too cold outside for mozzies.
Now I don't have any kind of barometer on me but I reckon its about 25c and my personal heat limit is 26c. I've even bumped up the aircon in the bedroom tonight to 20c (got a thick duvet).
Does anyone know how cold it really is?
I think it was -10 degrees C last night here

13c this morning in Phetchabun, coldest I have seen in the 7 years I've been here. Even had to put my jacket on at 4pm yestaerday to ride to the sewen. Supposed to be camping up in the hills next weekend, better start chopping a lot of fire wood.
I only have a thermometer on my clock radio in the bedroom and it didn't get over 20 deg at all yesterday, (Ubon), who knows what it is like outside.

Yes it is cold here in Phetchabun, got on an insulated flannel shirt I brought from the states, but it is really cold up at Nong Maena where my wife school is, she said it has been freezing ice up there in the mornings and everything is covered with frost.

I feel it. There have got to be some people out there hurting. I remember some years ago hearing of old people dying here in LOS during some cold weather. Haven't heard much of that lately. Not sure why that is.

Interesting, this winter, which has been cool {to say the least}. We're looking at 12-14 degrees of late in the evening/early morning. 24-26 degrees daytime. Been rather a long period of chiliness for Thai winters. Of winters past, we'll usually get a brief {3-4 days} blast from the north - and then it disappears, warming up. But this foking winter has been COLD continuously.......so much for 'global warming':mid:

I love the winters here. The longer the better.
It's nice to be able to have long snuggles without getting all sweaty like one does in the non-winter months.
Just got up and its still bloody freezing. Having to wear a T-Shirt round the house and I haven't turned on the ceiling fans. My hands are shaking and its nothin to do with alcohol.

^haha, that is freezing? Maybe for Thailand. Isn't it high season?
It is -8 degrees below zero where I'm at. Colder still with the windchill. I can't wait to be in warm and sunny Thailand in a month.

I'm gonna try a new approach tonight. Windows open no aircon! I hope it works coz it was a bloody pain in the arse to get the windows open and I don't fancy having to wake up in the night and try to close them.

Very cold tonight.
Woke up at 3.30, made myself a hot cuppa and warming up in front of the com now.
Walked out on the verandah this morning at about 6.00am and thought I would do some fishing.
Threw in a line and then started shivering which would be the first time in 22 years here for me.
Actually it was bloody fantastic and especially when the sun come up! :)
