what you need;
1. the 200 litre tank as below
2. the 1 m cement pipe (4 inch. wide)
3. the 3 ways joint (4 inch.)
4. 4-5 pieces of brick
5. soil and rice husks
the charcoal from this stove is very high quality because it uses the outside heat to dry up the wood

need 2 sticks (or something nicer) each side, and another 2 on the back as the frame before we covered the tank with the soil

after put the wood in tank we closed the tank by laying the bricks and used the soil to stick it
*the lit needs to be cut as a square about 25 x 25 cm for getting the air in the stove
and the hole has to be at the bottom

This stove doesn't need the fire inside the tank to burn the wood.
It works like an oven.
just set the fire in front of the stove and let the heat dry up the wood

Probably depends on thickness of wood you want to turn into coal..?!?

Leave it about 12 hours for cooling down. Open the stove you'll get a really good quality of charcoal. No cancer!!
Totally about 24 hours.

yeah the bamboo charcoal is the best especially for using in the spa.
If you put the charcoal on your computer desk, it will help to absorb the radiation
put in the fridge to absorb all the bad smell

What other activities are they teaching? I went to a Royal project in Nakhon Nayok and was quite impressed. They were doing charcoal and wood vinegar, mud houses and permaculture.Quote:

What an interesting post. Thanks. Just off to build a charcoal burner on the patio in Barnsley ! That will save me getting ripped off for £5 a bag at Asda for briquettes that last about 20 minutes.
Not sure Mrs Sakhon Nakhon will approve though.
