This was outright murder.
Trump's ICE. What do you expect?
Untrained police wannabes.
Trump’s ICE has killed an American.
Woman killed by ICE in Minneapolis: What we know about Renee Nicole Good
- A woman was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer as the largest ICE immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota history continues, Department of Homeland Security officials confirmed Wednesday.
What we know
Minneapolis officials on Wednesday afternoon said the woman who was fatally shot by an ICE official was a 37-year-old woman, Renee Nicole Good, who appeared to be in the vehicle alone.
According to records, Good has three children.
"This morning an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a member of our community. Renee was a resident of our city who was out caring for her neighbors this morning and her life was taken today at the hands of the federal government. Anyone who kills someone in our city deserves to be arrested, investigated, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," the Minneapolis City Council said in a statement.
The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. in the area of East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. The woman died at the hospital.
Federal officials are claiming self-defense, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is calling "bullshit" on that claim.
Witnesses told FOX 9, a woman got into a red vehicle and there was one ICE agent on either side of the vehicle trying to get in, and a third ICE agent came and tried to yank on the driver's side door. One of the agents on the driver's side door backed away, and then opened fire, shooting three times through the driver's side window, witnesses said. One witness said the vehicle wasn't moving toward the agents.
However, federal officials said ICE officers were "conducting targeted operations" when "rioters" blocked officers. One of the "rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them." Officials said an ICE officer who was "fearing for his life" fired "defensive shots" to save himself and his officers, killing the woman.
Big picture view
The shooting marks a dramatic escalation of the latest in a series of immigration enforcement operations in major American cities under the Trump administration.
The Twin Cities have been on edge since DHS announced Tuesday that it had launched the operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected to participate in the crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.
A large throng of protesters gathered at the scene after Wednesday's shooting, where they vented their anger at the local and federal officers who were there, including Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere.

This is how the ICE thugs get their rocks off.
USA USA USA.
Extraordinary country.
Clearly this is murder and the disgraceful narrative the ICE scum are spinning that the woman was “ weaponising” her vehicle is preposterous.
But, what is clear from what we know of the fascist regime led by the Orange Paedophile is that any possible future judicial outcome resulting in punishment will be negated by the Paedophile’s decision to pardon the spasticated, dumb ICE thug responsible for the murder.
Doubtless Reform Faragists will continue to suckle on the teat of their American masters and messrs. Starmer, Charlie, Wills et al will pander to the MAGA cult and carry on with their cum guzzling.
The world is shit but America is clearly no better than Russia and the British have become cum buckets.
What would the Ice agent assert? He was worried he might slip under the car while she accelerated away? He might say he was holding the door, perhaps pulling out his gun and was being pulled by the vehicle on a slippery road. He was off balance and vulnerable ...
There's a genre of videos on YouTube where entitled or emotionally disturbed women behave very poorly and irrationally with cops. They sometimes even turn nothing-burgers into felonies. It's risky not to submit to a law enforcement officer's authority.
Murder, pure and simple. All the agent had to do is step back.
Pretty sure that's self defense. The agent who shot through the windscreen was for a split second in the line of fire from the car. The car pulls to the right after the shots had been fired. His actions and shooting may have saved HIS life.

Or, he could have stepped away and let her go on her way, knowing she'd be easy to find later.
Pretty sure that's self defense if the agent shot through the windscreen and not the drivers side window. It isn't clear but you can is a puff of smoke when the car begins to drive towards him and then after that car swerves away.
I missed that there was an agent in front of the vehicle. Easy for the agents to think his life is in danger.
1st picture is before the car moved off
2nd picture is clearly showing it went off at a straight angle towards the agent. I believe that is the agent who shot at her. As I said windscreen defensive, drivers side window once car has turned, murder.

Awful...inexcusable. They are too belligerent.
Check out the white cloud that pops up in front of the windscreen at about 6.43/44. That looks like a windscreen shot, defensive.

Was the ICE agent in front of the SUV when he murdered that woman?
It's a very close call Topper, watch the video again play/pause play/pause way. I reckon he'll get away with it. Split second decisions usually means kill or be killed.
The car moved backwards and then started to go forwards. The cop who shot her was moving out of the way, to our left, and must have seen her turning the wheel, meaning he knew he was not in danger of being run over,
but then decided to stop, stand his ground, draw his gun and shoot.
What I highlighted is crucial.
Yeah but how many times have you seen this exact scenario and I am pretty sure the cop always gets away with it.
The law looks at it like this. Pointing your car and making any direct forward motion towards a civilian or officer of the law, is the same as pointing a gun at them. 100% ICE agent will walk in this one.
Well, there are pictures showing the first shot did go through the windscreen, however, the guy could (and did) move out of the way quite easily. I would say there was no excuse for shooting at all, there was no intention to run him over since she was steering to avoid him anyway.
Doesn't look like there was any need for further shots either, first one took her out.
Time will tell guys but I think ya'll leading with emotion. Sad for the lady and her family but everyone knows you don't fuck around with law enforcement in America. Maybe Jacob Frey in all his wisdom should have warned everyone to stop and comply with ICE agents instead of fight back against them setting a poor precedent and a situation like this happening. He probably punched the air when he heard about this. Big media moment for him. Fucking politicians, I don't believe an inch about them.
I agree bsnub, but I wasn't there in the moment, either.
The poor woman was probably scared shitless due to a gang of masked thugs waving guns trying to break into her vehicle and just trying to get away from them. Personally, it's a reflection of poor training and a desire by the ice "agents" to escalate a situation rather than deescalate.
'The grieving wife of a woman shot dead by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minnesota broke down in tears and blamed herself for the tragedy.
Harrowing footage from the scene showed the unidentified woman in tears over the shooting death of 37-year-old poet Renee Nicole Good, as she admitted encouraging Good to confront agents.
'I made her come down here, it’s my fault,' she could be heard saying at one point, through tears. 'They just shot my wife.'
That isn't going to help ya case sweetheart.
Phrases like, 'professional agitator', being branded about now.
I just viewed it again a few times, and I think it was more like half a second...perhaps a third. That is ample time to refrain from shooting, just as it is ample time to duck a punch. I think it was already the cop's intention to shoot.
ICE are simply too belligerent and starting to feel omnipotent.
Yes, I think so. Law enforcement is a dangerous job. They are entitled to robustly protect themselves when they feel their lives might be in danger. The deceased should have co-operated rather than make the agents feel one or more of their lives were in danger.
I assume her family or estate will sue Ice. They will be on better ground there.
^
that.
although i would replace the word "women" with "people"
american law enforcement officers are famous for being aggressive, not too bright and very trigger happy, and so it begs the question of why anyone when challenged by armed law enforcement agents would take such a huge risk and attempt to run rather than just stay calm and answer questions.
this does look very much like murder, but in many ways she brought it on herself.
On YouTube there is a genre of videos by people who call themselves auditors or some similar name who set out to provoke the British police and video how the police respond (not well). It's extraordinary how belligerent and poorly trained the police often are. Some don't seem to have suitable personalities to be a police officer. The auditors sometimes ends up suing the police and they often win (the police settle out of court). The spat usually starts about whether the auditor is compelled by any law to provide his name to the police. Some of the cops now know about these people and videos and are more wary. The giveaway is when a member of the public is extremely well informed about the relevant British law and speaks firmly but respectfully.
The car was 'weaponized' about as much as a Kingwilly gray.
I just saw on the ABC news that she was shot in the head. Through a windscreen. That cop knew what he was doing.
it should also be noted that in the usa 3 police officers a week are killed in the line of duty. it is hardly surprising therefore that they can become trigger happy when confronted with provocative and possibly unpredictable activists.
lessons to be learned by those on both sides of this fence.
For all those claiming the ICE agent was in danger....how come the car DIDN'T hit him when it was out of control with an incapacitated driver ? The car would have continued on it's course away from him. And while you're at it...explain why ICE wouldn't let a doctor on the scene attempt first aid ? "Stay away, our medics are coming" he was told. ( video here : Facebook)
And from a former head of ICE during an interview who thinks there are "troubling questions " about the agent's conduct:John Sandweg, Former Acting ICE Director:
Yes, thanks for having me.
Amna Nawaz:
So, as you have seen, DHS is saying that the ICE agent here was acting in self-defense. The mayor of Minneapolis, others have dismissed that after they saw the video. Have you yourself watched the video? What's your assessment of what happened here?
John Sandweg:
I think the videos -- I have seen two videos now, and I think both of them raise troubling questions here.

Don't run away from police or ICE officers. Fairly simple to understand.
