What punishment?

I came across this, and was quite irritated by the stupidity/irresponsibility of this woman. She could have caused somebody else to lose their life, nevermind the cost, and the fact that the lifeboat would have been unavailable to be sent elsewhere...

I'm not sure whether she should be fined, made to do community service (I'm liking this idea best) or something else.

Any thoughts on the issue?

A young woman holidaying in Cornwall was rescued by the same lifeboat crew three times in four days after being cut off by the tide.
She was saved by the RNLI on Tuesday, Thursday and again on Friday.
In each case, she had been cut off by the tide while out walking and the D-class inshore lifeboat crews had to go into the water to rescue her.

First one's free. Charged the maximum amount for the cost of the next two rescues. Should be a large fine in there as well for stupidity.

Absolutely right.

Maybe they should have given her the stern safety briefing after the first rescue instead of the third

Make her visit the families of emergency services people who've died while trying to save idiots from their own stupidity.

Fsitral beach, Newquay, where the father died and daughter is on life support, is one of the worlds top 10 surfing beaches. Quite why some idiot and his kids would try their luck paddling there shows utter stupidity

I think the woman was Welsh from Llandiddlydeilo. They're mostly used to hills and babbling brooks.

The lifeboat crew have probably seen them enough, they could make next years calendar out of the pics.

Geneva Airport straddles the French Swiss Border.

Last month they had a phone call saying a bomb was set to go off at a certain time. Total evacuation of the Airport, chaos, bomb sniffer dogs etc.

They traced the call to a woman, living just across the border in France.

She was trying to stop her husband going on holiday with his mistress.

She is now in jail in France for six months with a 40,000 euros bill. The Swiss also want to prosecute her!! What an eejit...

So the life boat lassie should expect a large bill for her stupidity and a bit of jail time. I hope.
