Hello from David48

Hi Teak Door, the original David48 here.

Well, I finally made the leap and joined the Forum.

Actually, I was just hoping for a general page where I could say hi, without all the fuss, but I couldn't locate one.

Thus, here I am.

I was intending to join as my original nick over @ TVF but some undesirable, intent of slurring decided to take that and try and convince you that the idiot was me.

Happy to prove my bonafidies as we all hate impostors and Trolls.

One day, I tell the story, as I know, the factual bits of it what happened over at TVF, but for now, just happy to mingle with the Mob and get a feel for this place.

Oh, if any of the guys here remember me from the old days, drop by and say hi, either here or by PM and would like a chat.

I was there, maybe 5 years from memory ... should I feel the end is neigh?

I read through TeakDoor Secrets ... can anyone add to that?

For example, it says that i can't PM anyone till 50 posts, but the message I got when I tried it was can't do till 20 posts. Which IMHO is a great idea.

Must just be my impression, but they seldom seem to transplant well over here. Usually an introductory post, one or two responses to other ex posters of tv and then they seem to fade away.

I came back to this thread looking for a post which has subsequently been removed. I'm not bumping.

But, having now been around the forum for a while and a few posts under my belt, it's an interesting read now that I'm familiar with some of the characters here.

Despite wjblaney's tongue in cheek concluding remarks, it was good to read the balance of his post ... and some truths in there.

They're not so bad if you take them with a pinch of salt.

Don't know where else to ask, so here is as good as any.

There must be a thread which is for funny YouTubes.

I've looked in the Lounge etc, but have missed it.


Can someone please post the link please ... assuming there is one.
