If your partner was a car............

Many of the attributes we enjoy in our motoring choices could equally be applied to the women (or men) in our life.
Do you appreciate something with a good ride and excellent handling, or something sleek and sporty with a firmer ride?
How about the MPV, something with a bit of versatility, with some capability on the rough suff?
Quality, high tech and well engineered do it for you, or do you prefer the classic, with all it's foibles and idiosyncrasies.
Manual or automatic, stick shift or paddle change?

Who or what would be your ideal life partner?

An F1 car.
Use it for a weekend and then throw it away and get another one the following weekend.

The Missus would be a Mini Cooper with a few tweaks under the bonnet...

I was just musing, as one does, how sleek and sporty the gf was looking this morning. It reminded me of the time i got my hands on a Ford Cortina 2000E. It was simply stunning in terms of looks, ride and equipment. It went like stink but had a twitchy rear end when cornering at speed.
Guess i was just counting me blessings, and wondered if you lot ever compared your current squeeze to a favourite motor.
Nothing more sinister than that.

(GF may look sleek and sporty but she will rather get on the bike, than walk 100m to the 7/11. How can somone weighing 44 kilos eat so much, and so often? Beats me).

luckily, they are not

Not saying the 2000e was great, but of its time it was a great fun car to drive, when the only Jap alternative was the Datsun Cherry.

It would have to be a benz. Nice lines, reliable, has that extra power if needed and gets better with age.

Mercedes Benz E class 3 litre diesel automatic, full of toys, can be had for about GBP 1000 in UK. Plenty to choose from as well.

A Golf GTi.

Initially a sporty little number but becoming more bloated as the years go by.
