Watching the river flow.
Yesterday I received a call that Pakse Laos was in dire straits and that once again I would be called to bail them out a bit. Living next to the Mekong has some perks but also some alluvial deposits. They told me when I had them build me a place there that I should bring in land to raise the foundation up about six meters. My response at the time was "if it ain't high enough to build on as is then it aint good enough to build on at all." I should have listened!
This is the only home I have that " put me under water."
Anyway here are a pics of how you deal when the when town is under water.

Are these pics from last week fish?
Clean it up a bit.

My gf just sent them to me a day or two ago. I guess it's from a few days ago. I figure about the time someone posted that Squall line in Savannahket.
As for cleaning it up I figured the rain did that. Besides I have my own projects in the projects. haha.

Not to worry, my buddy the Commander is diligently working on a solution while we speak.

The Confluence of the Don and Mekong River at the Chinese temple Pakse Laos. Better pics in the bungling in the jungle thread. I was there in January flying the drone and having pics taken with Laos school girls. All under water now. https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/.../Mmt0nO1-1.jpg
Very sad situation now I'm afraid and yet they smile and trudge along. Got to love Laotian people. I think they really get it.

I meant clean up the pics (big black blanks either end of most pics)
Has your bird gone back home?
Time to get cracking on them jack pizzas mate:)
Send $2000 ASAP

Both birds are here in S.E. Wisconsin. The pics came from her relatives and Friends. She then sent them to me so I really can't "clean" them up.
I can say that many farms have been wiped out on the Eastern banks of the Mekong north of Pakse. They regained electrical service yesterday in some areas.
I hope they knew enough to open the breakers for the lower level of the farmhouse. If not they poped anyway I'd hope. My electrician is pretty good but I'm not so sure about her mom and brother as far as things you can't see that can kill you.

P.S. I am the " go fund me now" guy. No big deal, my gripes are vacuuming the damn pool, resurfacing the driveway, mowing the lawn, getting rid of crap I no know longer use or desire and running low on Bourbon and beer.
Catch you later I'm off to the store.
fish.

Anybody want to buy a 1957 merc 25 short shaft outboard. Can't justify taking it to Laos anyway. Besides, I'm gonna need a bigger boat.
