Man caught impersonating a Soldier in Sattahip.
This case comes from Sattahip Police Station where Police Major Chaiwat investigated allegations of a man impersonating a Soldier. The suspected impersonator is Khun Wirat aged 31 who was arrested and caught in possession of a full army uniform. Complaints had been received about the man who was well known in the area. He would often frequent local Karaoke Bars and would not pay because of his so-called Army Status. He is known to have borrowed motorbikes from people which he sold on to unsuspecting customers. He told many that he could buy guns for them but would require a deposit of 5,000 Baht first. The guns were never forthcoming and the deposits were never returned. Investigations into Khun Wirat confirmed that he was once in the army but was released 9 years ago. He is now behind bars and he will shortly explain his actions to a judge.
