The British Embassy - Bangkok - Thank You for NOTHING!

This place needs shutting down, it is a disgrace!

Forgive me if I am wrong but I thought the point of an embassy was to assist it's citizens abroad??? Am I missing something?

I sent them a simple E mail requesting a bit of a guide as to where to send my son's Thai passport (a new one - the old one is due to expire) to renew his Right of Abode Certificate which he already has in his current passport.

Last time was simple, and free, except for the post.

They usually want evidence of citizenship - no problem, he has a British passport too, along with a British birth certificate.

The reply from the British embassy in Bangkok initially comes back as a sort of "Fuck Off" it is an automated message telling you to go and check various websites and see if your problem is covered there - i. e. The lazy SHITS cannot even be bothered to read your e mail, they hope you simply don't bother to try again.

To try again, you have to add " RESEND" in your subject line, else your message is confined to garbage and these worthless shits will not reply.

Anyway, after a while, a worthless shit eventually replied, telling me in it's most worthless script, that it was unable to help me, and that I needed to contact the UK Border Patrol or Texas fucking Rangers or whatever other useless bunch of incompetent CUNTS, you know... the people that go around deporting Chinese people for working hard in a takeaway and NOT claiming benefits!

Well, I looked up the worthless piece of Shit's link to the Border Patrol Site...and guess what, the worthless piece of SHIT (Marisa Vorapruk- of the passport and consular division) had in fact given me totally crap advice!

If you follow Marisas' link to the Homeland Idiocracy site, it tells you that you need to apply at an embassy in your country - i.e. Thailand! to apply for the Right of Abode.

I feel a bit pissed off about Marisa, it pisses me off that Marisa is being paid out of our taxes, it pisses me off that Marisa is an incompetent TWAT, in fact I am totally pissed of at Marisa, and the British Embassy for employing incompetent CUNTS like this.

(In the meantime - I discovered the British consul LIED - in Chiang Mai - They told me that in order to obtain a British passport for my son I needed to have a British birth certificate - lies!!!! You only need a translated certified copy of the Thai birth cert - so go save yourselves 8500 Baht there too)

Anyway, I tried to get Marisa to send me contact details for the British Ambassador, they still haven't arrived but in the meantime I did a bit of searching, I thought it would probably take a glass of G'n'T to get through to Quentin the arse bandit, but it seems he has been replaced by a far sturdier figure that represents St. George and good old Blighty..... Mr. Asif Anwar Ahmad!!!

Am I at the wrong Embassy --- Is it Dubai or the Emirates? Or does he own fucking Harrods!

I'm a little confused here.

So the question is - does your son have a British Passport?

If he has, there is absolutely no need for a "Right of Abode" sticker in his Thai Passport.

about 15 yrs ago i met a pommy bint in Singapore, she was living with her female friend who worked at the embassy.

Have you phone and actually talked to Marisa? People get so tied up with 3G, i-phones and instant everything that they think everyone else is as well.

Passports are no longer issued by the Embassy in Bangkok so there is no passport section. Visas in Thailand and Hong Kong are issued by the Home Office aka Border Protection Agency not Embassy staff. Maybe there is some one in London/Hong Kong wherever who will answer an email? If they get as many emails as they do visa applicants see below no wonder there service is less than exemplary.

Has to be a terrible place to work all the Man. Utd look-alike supporters in their wife beater shirts, shorts and thongs trying to get a visa for their pregnant Thai slapper to go to UK. (Man Utd was used for effect not for realism)
