Sportsrider with ultra low kms and no blue book. Definately if you're looking for a few years old, going new is the way to go.
I went with the Mazda BT-50, bought it March this year, dual cab 5spd Hi-racer (if I went back now Iwould have got the low riding model for cheaper and better handling experience, especially in the mountains up in the north, the Hi-racer is just for show, to look like a 4wd without being one). It's been a great vehicle, put 20,000 kms on it so far.
Price was 720K thb, a little less than the Hilux. They go for i think 43K aud is Aus, mine was 23K aud at the xe rate at the time. The Aussies reckon the BT-50 is better than the current Hilux, I know coz the magazine said so. I got the missus to put up the family land as finance, kicked in 200K for the deposit, and I make the repayments. In the unthinkable event that our relationship falls apart, she can easily sell the car to pay off the debt, no one gets hurt too much.
