So what did I think of it? Well it is a mixture of old and new stuff, got to admit I find the new stuff a bit boring, also seems to be quite a mixture of beliefs, they got Khymer stuff and Chinese stuff plus the normal stuff, maybe they are aiming for a bigger market share of Bhudists.

Anyway lets start with the main Monks room, this is normally locked so you cannot view it normally, now this has scenes painted like a tapestry and was done hundreds of years ago, they must have used better paint than I did on my place as it is in better condition.

The paintings or murals tell us about the ancient times of Ayutthaya history.

This is where the Monks sailed off to Sri Lanka, when they got back a couple of years later they found that Ayutthaya had been laid to waste by the Burmese.

Looking from the main Monks room you can see a Chinese type Temple.
This is at present being built on the same grounds.

It is actually quite a nice temple and worth maybe 1 hour of your time.

Ok now this place is pitch black, it stinks of vampire piss and they keep squaking, although Ken reckons they were bats, but hell what does he know about killer vampires? yep fok all.

So then suddenly Ken disappears, obviously the killer vampires have got him, now dont forget that this place is pitch black, aint got no windows in this place, so obviously while the killer vampires are feasting on Kens dead body I thought it best to leave, then I hear Ken saying, "hey come round here" hmmm, he is in the pitch black behind the above picture, maybe they had already turned him into a zombie, so off I went behind the above picture, and behind after having a few kiloes of vampire shite sqeaulching between my toes I bump into Ken, "what do you think of that" he says, hmmmm, now dont forget it is pitch black so I couldn't see anything, it turns out it is yet another reclining Budha, I had to take a few pictures just to see where the thing was, damn it stank in there.

Around the great big Khymer thing they have a pavillion with 108 of these statues in.

I can't see how you pulled off that shot while smoking a cigarette at the same time. I blurred all my shots of the same murals (dated to 1765) and I was trying to hold my camera as steady as possible. Your hand didn't flinch a bit. I guess you develop that control after shotting at rabbits with 44 magnums all these years.

I don't think shooting rabbits with a .44 would be a good idea, there wouldn't be much of it left :)
