In a way it was a relief to find out that his father is still alive. No parent should ever have to bury their children, but in this case I think it was best this way......

Stop trying to figure out the unknown though, we 'normal' folk can only use a small percentage of our brains for a reason that is beyond question.
Leave this guy be, especially if he's dead.
Get on with life, we know what is good and what is bad but sadly that's not enough.
