2 characters you'll always see at any pub in England:
The friendly but aggressive guy in his early 20s, being aggressive but friendly. Around 10.44pm someone will say the "wrong" thing and the sight of him being restrained and the female cry of "It's not worth it Terry" will always be heard.
The guy in his late 30s, baggy eyed and has been in the pub since he was 15, telling everybody who will listen for the 10,000th time that he's going to drive Formula One very soon.
You go to some fucking wierd pubs.Quote:

There was another pub I can't recall the name but there was a guy who kept complaining that they didn't serve REAL beer. He was really irritating because to every other normal person the beer was perfectly fine.
I think CD pat works in clubs ..not bars..Quote:

Belgian pubs, now there we've got good and real beer, no closing times and no putting money on the bar. Just pay as you go or pay at the end of the drinking session.
And you can get in as from the age of 16. Actually nobody will stop a 15 year old of having a few beers. No problemo, yet we don;t hit each other's head in when we get pissed.
boring little country isnt it?
I wouldn't say it's the best to live in, but my mother being BRitish I grew up in both countries and prefer belgium though. Didn't like the UK one bit. Pretty old fashioned place if you ask me!
Yep, and the best of it was that my father owned a pub/restaurant so I was right at the source:) .
yep, Duvel is one of the beers with higher alcohol percentage. About 8-9 per cent if I remember well. There are quite a few strong beers averaging 10 up to 24 per cent alcohol:beerchug: . Healthy to drink one or two per day.
All beer supposed to be drunk at a cool temp, and no ice cubes in beer please!
My fav Belgian beer is Delerium Tremons, a couple of those bad boys will sort you out.
I like ice in beer, it help's to take the taste away
Why wouldn't you wanna taste the beer? No, ice does not belong in beer!
Then again tastes differ
^^Then it must be awful beer then.
Villa have dusty old bottles of "trappist monks beer" at 207 Baht.
I looked at the alcohol content: almost 9%!!!WTF?
Yeah, trappist triple or double will do ya good:) . These are beers not made for a piss up, but for slow consumption. It's like a wine you gotta appreciate it and let it flow down your tongue.
