A vitual treadmill race thread
I've got a treadmill but it bores the crap out of me plodding along on it. I try to do 5km most days but often I get so bored that I stop at 3.2km.
I have tried watching TV (Beeb news, Law and Order, Monk, O'Reily) and podcasts of Rachel Maddow and music that seem to be on about the time I exercise (usually around 10 am Thai time) but while they are usually enjoyable they are not really motivating.
If anybody else here is trying to get fit(ter) on a treadmill perhaps it would be fun and encouraging to post details of the jog/run that you do.
I guess it would take the form of something like this:
2 min at 7.5 km/h warm up
15 min at 9.5 km/h jogging
4 min at 7.5 km/h walking
6 min at 9.5 km/h jogging
4 min at 7.5 km/h walking/recovering
3 min at run-as-fast-as-you-can-for-a-while km/h to set personal best time :)
I think I got to the 5 km mark at about 33:42, but I could be wrong because the above timings are taken from my exercise this morning and I didn't write them down.
