Any guys out there old enough to remember the Twisted Wheel? in Manchester before Northern Soul and Wigan Casino them where the days with all the old soul music.
I see that somewhere in Pattaya had a soul night well why we not have one in Phuket, if you live around Rawai we have the bar and I have the music soul music from the 60's we used to play in the Twisted Wheel lets have a get together listen to some good soul music and a few cool beers, lets hear from you guys.:sexy:
Yup, I was reasonably regular there around the '68 era, for the all nighters every Saturday. The Blue Note, a few streets up towards Piccadilly was also good.
There's a Manc band called Twisted Wheel now.
You guys still have some of the music?
I did have quite a lot digitally, but managed to lose the lot. Now only have some reasonable collections of Motown favourites.

Done a bit of researching, and the best that I can get for music content, is the playlists from both the Brazenose and Whitworth Street venues: Playlist
Would be real difficult to get hold of any of this music, but not impossible I guess.
I have the music most of what was played at Whitworth street Wheel here on my pc would be good to get a few guys together, hey anybody see Little Stevie Wonder? at the wheel?
I would have loved to have seen a Soul Night in Pattaya. All these Singha vests tucked into oxford bags. Don't imagine too many swan dives happening either.........seriously i love Northern. My brother used to run a coach from Edinburgh down to Wigan in the late seventies.
You get sick of hearing the same music no matter where you go in Thailand. Every live band has the exact same set list. It would be good to hear something completly different apart from Blues, Rock and Techno.

New venue these days, a lot of originals still attending and a few younger ones.
