So should America be allowed any say on the worlds stage on the subject of human rights?
As many badly run 3rd world dictatorships have secret prisons, Burma is a good example, should America be even allowed to comment on them when they to also have secret prison camps?
Many 3rd world banana republic countries like to torture their prisoners, as does America, should Americans even be allowed to bring this subject up about other countries doing the same as them?
Seems to be a good poll candidate. Think I can guess what your vote might be.;)
Unless they're offering free home-smoked meats, they should fucking well stay in the US, goddamit!
I think that every country should shut the fuck up about what any other country is doing unless it is like Cambo with Thai fucking with them, and they should be able to bitch about it and if Thailand don't stop doing it then every country should come over here and kill the shit out of a bunch of Thai and then they would mind their own fucking business and keep their own yard clean.
America should bring all her guys home and stay the fuck in their own yards, Khun Obama said he was going to do that very thing first up, but he has forgot about what he promised now that he is nigger rich and got his own money printing press, I bet that coon is twisting up doobies in $100 bills.
^ Thats pretty much the line China takes with the USA when it goes on about Chinese 'human rights issues'- China just says it's an internal affair, so shut the fuck up. And follows up by pointing out some US human rights issues- I guess they have a point.
Certainly, the credibility of the USA to be an impartial international human rights monitor is compromised (to say the least), and not just by the Bush administration. Some things that spring to mind:-
High profile opposition to the banning or even control of land mines.
The invasion of Iraq, & indiscriminate use of airpower.
Torture, ghost prisons and extra-judicial rendition.
The Patriot Act and erosion of civil liberties in the US.
The US refuses to sit on the UN Human Rights Commission, or acknowledge it's findings.
The US consistently veto's any UN resolutions criticising Israel.
I could go further back, to Nam and the 'secret war', to US support for repressive regimes in Central and South America and so on- but if we are to compare the USA with it's past and present 'peer group' of global and regional hegemonic powers the story is much the same.
So I'll just quote Chomsky- "We are all hypocrites". Certainly that seems to be the case when you are talking at the national level.
You invade, I liberate.
You brutally repress, I enforce freedom and democracy.
My despotic friend is a strong leader, my despotic enemy a Tyrant.
And so on. :(

The Americans should keep their big yaps shut over human right abuses. Hypocrites every one of them that comments on what goes on in other third world countries. They should focus more on their own backyard and issues that go on today, and have went on throughout their checkered past.
Think of all the multinational corporations that have went to these third world countries for the slave labour.
