Do any board members frequent this establishment? If so, what are your thoughts? I can't decide whether it's kitsch enough to be quite hip, or just hell on earth.
(Only British people will get this BTW).

I had a solid brekkie there once!
Most people go there for the entertaining owner - even if he doesnt try to be.
It's his missus that always gets me - he is the picture of happiness, whereas she's the epitome of pure misery. And who wouldn't be listening to a 24 hour loop of Chas N Dave-style warbling?
"stick a pony in my pocket". Imagine having that hardwired into your brain...
I used to eat there quite a lot if I was working in the area, best thing you can say about the place is that it serves food, probably wouldn't be brought into a conversation about places to eat though if you had friends asking for suggestions.
He's the twat who sends spamming emails all the time and won't take you off the mailing list.
Luckily, he's not got my email address.
^shall I send it to him MTD?
I used to eat breakfast there when I lived in Pattaya, cheap n cheerful but Fools and Horses gets a bit tedious after going there for a week or two. Food was fine back then, decent price and an OK feed. Big mugs of tea as I remember where everywhere else I tried had thimble cups.
Yep, its the same episode of Fools and Horses that is the real killer, not so luvely jubbley after more than half a dozen viewings. The basic breakfast for 60 - 70 baht is good value and the quality is fair for the price. If its quality you're after you could go somewhere like Gregs Kitchen but you'll be spending more than double. The head waitress looks smacked out of it most of the time but she's pleasant enough when you get to know her.
YouTube - TV Advert for Crazy Dave's bar in Pattaya, Thailand
Breakfast at Gregs Kitchen on their web site says 160baht.
Fucking hell!
The place has just become even more annoying...I sometimes have nightmares that I'm locked in that place, with only 200 cats and a blurred vision of Del-boy to keep me company...
"C'est magnifique, hooky street" (repeat to fade, if only).
While I'm at it, why the hell can't Thais fry eggs? Their fried eggs are ace - ours, in a full english, are practically raw.
I recommend the Shepperd's Pie.
Crazy Dave's is brilliant when you have a hangover and rice just wont help. The price cant be sniffed at either. The continuous dvds are annoying but I woudl try to sit as close to the door, if not outside, as possible. When i used to frequent the missus always used to buy south thailand food from a little further down the soi and we used to get some to take home for later so killing two birds with one stone.
Advert is annoyng, dvd is annoying, all the british shit around is annoying, it works for me. Reminds me of why i got away.
For whatever reason, I've always gravitated to Canterbury Tales next door, or Neeroys across the soi for that sort of food. But Soi Chaiyapoon is a pretty good place to catch up on English stodge for a decent price.
Sounds like Tenerife.
Yuk.
^More Ibiza actually :) Neeroys is pretty damn good, was there a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks chaps!
Yet another reason for me not to ever go to Pattaya
Pattaya has its good points :)
