Just heard from my mate in Pattaya, thieves broke into his garage, stole 2 Motorcycles and Murdered the security guard while doing so.
Poor security Guard, working an honest job, earning about 6,000 a month trying to keep his family afloat and dies while doing his job, all for sake of some Motorcycles parts.:(

Damn, if I would have just kept a place to live, but with rent there so fucking steep it just no way and with other things going to shit I guess I am just here.
This worldwide economic meltdown with unemployment and shit following, will for sure be noticed by a higher crime rate here in LOS.
Same here, i'm not as happy in this country as i was 8 years ago when i came here.

Not that it really makes any difference, but was the garage at his house?
Crime in Pattaya is getting out of control, most of it never makes the media though and in many cases people just don't bother reporting it as they know the cops will do f-all anyway, after best part of 6 years here can't say i'll be sad to leave next Saturday. As with a lot fewer tourists about hence a lot less money to go round it's only gonna get worse.

Bira Racing Circuit Security Guard Murdered and 4 racing bikes stolen.
On Wednesday Morning, Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Banglamung Police, made his way to the Bira International Racing Circuit to investigate a suspected case of murder.
At the scene, officers were directed to a hammock containing the body of Khun Somshai aged 51 who is employed as a security guard at the circuit.
The victim’s hands and feet were tied together and severe trauma injuries consistent with repeated blows to the head were evident.
The Guard was employed to guard a room containing 1,000cc racing motorbikes.
Mr. Richard Knight, the English owner of the bikes confirmed that 4 of them with a combined value of 2 Million Baht, had been stolen.
Mr. Knight confirmed that previous to the theft he received a call from a Thai Man who was enquiring about the bikes and also wanted to know where they were stored.
Fingerprints and other forensic evidence was removed from the scene as Police hunt for the killer or killers.

This outlines how dumb they can be at times. No doubt the simcard the Thai guy used to make the call is still in his phone and the cops will locate him by cell triangulation pretty soon.Quote:
