BTS and BMCL (the Subway operator) anounced some time ago that they were discussing options for future integrated ticketing. Has there been any updates on this - and what is the projected time for this to be implimented?

It took 40 years to build the new airport. This is a bit easier so maybe in 2028 I estimate.
Prolly never happen as the casual riders use different methods of payment. One is tokens and the other cards. Only the multi-pass use the rfid cards on both systems.
Large costs associated with changing all the entrance/exit toll machines to say nothing about the money changers and token purchase machines.
Unless that is, there are a few million baht to be made by some shyster.
