well I am now just 6 days and a wakeup to heading back to my beloved LOS.
What should I make sure I bring? I am bringing Crystal Lite, Splenda, and a few other things I think I can not find or will be hard to find. I have not been there since 02 and this trip will not be one of those hurried 30 dayers. I have planned 6 months, barring an emergency in US.

Your ATM card and a backup, pepto bismol, tums, couple doz good rubbers, advil, ear plugs.
I bring cereal, chili mix, good bottle of scotch, perfume for the lady, several books, good shoes. On the return these items are replaced with t-shirts, shorts, flip flops, sunglasses, bottle cheap thai whiskey, and any other trinkets sold everywhere in Thailand.
no dick sleeves, happily married Thai 36 years. You need some though.

Splenda is a sugar type product that diabetics can use. Sweetens up stuff very nicely. Crystal lite a powder drink that comes in many flavors its made with splenda. Diabetes killed my Mom, and distroying me now.

Ur a strange old coot rascal- try being a bit less defensive, appreciate that sense of humour varies a bit around the world, and that you are on an anonymous internet forum. For example crystalite & that other stuff you mentioned- I doubt anyone but a Nth American would know what that was.
Most stuff u can get here, but I'd say particularly on a first visit it's a good idea to carry some Lomotil or Imodium with you. But thats easily available here, and cheap. About the only other advice I'd give is don't travel too heavy- people dress informally, you need few clothes because of the weather, clothes are cheap anyway as is laundry. Have a good trip- lots to see, and you can check out several interesting journeys and places to see here on TD.
