I often have these shwanky ideas for shwanky threads and I'm either not sure of their veracity or I'm too drunk to remember them the next day.

I swear that 30 minutes ago, just before my evensong walk up to the park , I had a boner of an idea and can't for the life of me remember what it was in spite of going through the alphabet for beginning letters. it's odd how few words start with 'B' you know.

Anyway, if you have an idea for a thread that you don't fancy posting in the here and now or even fancy testing the waters, this is where you might do it, here.

At that point they either launch into some Thai I don't understand or put the phone down. I never back down on my Hello, until they say something other than Hello.....later I can pretend I couldn't hear them or something like that if it was someone important.

It's nothing against Thais actually, I just hate phones, I try not to answer, but if they keep on ringing I have to in the end - I know it'll be for the missus as I have no friends....

Did you ever hear about the kid that was so scared of phones he died of a heart attack when he was left in the house on his own and it rang - I'm a bit like that, the fucking noise of a ringing phone drives me mad...
