Dreamworld - Advice Please

Ms. B's daughter (age 11) is on school holiday and wants to go to Dreamworld.

We live in beautiful Korat.

Question is, how best to do this?

We thought of: bus to Bangkok, stay the night, Dreamworld the next day, spend another night, then bus back to Korat. (We have a few other things to do in Bangkok as well.) If we do this, how best to get from hotel to Dreamworld?

Will we need a whole day to fully enjoy the wonders that Dreamworld has to offer?

Or, we could drive, but I'd like to avoid this if at all possible.

Half a day is enough for dreamworld. I would take a taxi from bangkok if I were you.

In my last trip to Thailand, I took my sisters and niece to Dream World. It took me three hours of driving from Khorat to get to Ramindra, using Highway 2 and the Outer Ring Road. We spent most of our day at Dream World. My 18 month old niece had the time of her life.

I think a bus leaves Khorat every hour. If taking a bus, you can get off at either Rangsit or Donmuang. From either, it is a short taxi ride to Dream World. To stay overnight, my suggested hotel would be Asia Airport Hotel at Zeer Rangsit. After a day at Dream World, you could spend some time entertaining yourself at Zeer IT Mall, looking at all the computer related products.

My friend, Toon and her bf will go there next weekend. Myself, I've never been there but have been thinking about it.

Thai wife gave good info. The hotels north of BKK would be the best.

Dont be cheap. Buy the ticket that is 400 to 450 this will give you unlimited rides. My kids rode the Grand Canyon 8 times, the hanging coaster 8 times and Space Mountain 6 times. Just those rides would be a fortune if you paid the 50 baht per ride price.
You get a little bracelet and use that to walk on to any and all rides you like. Only the go carts do you have to pay extra.

I have 8 and 1/2 year old twin girls, PM for any advice you might need.

If you stay at Asia Zeer you taxi rides will only be about 100 baht max, you might have to walk out about 3/4 of a kilometer to get a ride back though. Depends if a taxi has had a drop off.
