Microwave meals you can't get in Thailand

I remember as a teenager my mum refused to cook for us all as we always complained about her experiments, so we lived on take aways or microwaved stuff for a couple of years, most of the microwave stuff was pretty crap back in those days, but lets move onto pot noodles, these I thought were the most disgusting tasting things anybody could eat, but lot's of people ate them because they were considered exotic, but after my first couple of tries I didn't eat them again till a couple of days ago, in the old days you just used to pour boiling water into the pot and leave them for a few minutes, now things have got better :)

These I bought in America but didn't try them there as we just ate from our doggie bags in the evenings, but damn they are good, this one is a Kraft Herb Marinara, open it up, take out the paper bag, fill to the line with water, microwave on high for 3 and half minutes, chuck the contents of the paper bag in there and you got a great snack, wish I had brought more of them back now.

Remember the old packet in a smash? the old mash potato powder, damn that was awfull, most disguting thing I have ever eaten, well, apart from Karen in Essex, she didn't know a lot about personal hygene :(

I'd trade my truck for a single microwavable beef and bean burrito.

They're something like 30 cents in the supermarket and the best drunken snack-before-bedtime I know. The inevitable blister on the roof of your mouth makes for hours of boring office amusement the next day.

I'm not sure which is worse; microwaveable 'meals' or 7/11 hot-dogs. :confused:

It was really nice, I have an "Alfredo" for tomorrow :)

You could spent your hard earned dollars on some of them Riviera canned ravioli or those canned tamales They don;t come with their own microwave in the package packaging but at least you'd had something edible.

And tomorrow you're gonna eat instant, microwaved cheese-type food product & macaroni? and call it what?

ahh, I haven't posted pictures of my pickled jalapeno slices or my black bean a corn salsa yet :) only got 1 jar of each though :)

I got some of those from Villa once, I can honestly say they were absolutely disgusting, worst excuse for a burrito I have EVER seen:)

Actually you can buy refried beans and tortillas at the NK bridge. Add some small beef cubes, diced onions, mozarella cheeze, a dollop of sour cream and a few jalapeno peppers. Roll 'em and freeze 'em. Nuke for two minutes and you're ready. Shouldn't be that difficult to make them myself.

Somehow I liked Timber's food threads more.

Microwave Magic

Have a look at this DD.

Here's another microwave meal, but I cheated a bit as I made the original chile con carne on the hob, anyway take your chile out of the fridge, zap it for 3 minutes in the microwave.

Add a cheese and black pepper slice, chuck a couple of pickled jalapenos on top, another minute in the microwave and it is delicious, wish I had brought a few jars of jalapenos back, I also mixed in some hot salsa with the chili to give it a bit more bite.

That is a black pepper cheese slice :) they had a special half price offer a couple of months ago so I bought loads of them :)

Oh! Black pepper eh? That explains the back spots all over it, and I thought it was fly shit.

I tried the stuff I love you Jesus Tesco, its made for them by S&P, tastes passable but the meat to rice ratio is low, so as a consequence you need about 3 of them to make anywhere near a Farang sized meal.

Next time I'll avoid DD food's threads before lunch, I just lost appetite. That's insane really. :)

I only use microwave for homemade food leftovers.
