As today was a holiday I went out to eat some Japanese food at Oishi Ramen.
It's conveniently located in the mall near my house.

All up including another carry out yakisoba for the TGF the bill came to 360THB including two drinks. I have a discount card that cost 150THB that gives me 10% off any Oishi restaurant including delivery.

Nice looking spread, but calling themselves a ramen restaurant is stretching things- you didn't have one single ramen dish!
Ramen is a noodle soup, Japanese style. :rolleyes:

I have been looking for a place to post this little ditty about our Valentines day dinner.

First, if you are in Khon Kaen, or traveling thru, consider eating one of your dinners at the Kosa Steak house. It is not part of the hotel, but out in front of the hotel on the main street that seperates the hotel and the large shopping mall.

We had Bar B Q pork ribs, and it was all we could do to finish the dinner. The salad was Kosa's best, and then they served their own version of potatoe salad, bread, and corn on the cob. Having lived in Texas for 5 years, it brought back some great memories. I saw the steak they were serving and it looked really good, but was on the thin side.

Prices are about average for the food, if you order wine, consider ordering a bottle, since their wine by the glass is expensive. The Steak House has been open since December and by the looks of things, they are being received very well, as most of the tables were full when we left.

There is plenty of Ramen on the menu! It just happened that we didn't order any!

Don't know about Bangkok but in CM there's a rash of new japenerse places opened recently, so much it seems to be the latest fad. Nothing wrong with the food though.
