Anyone know about overstay fine for children?

Hi, my daughter is Thai born and when she was 3 weeks old i got her a uk passport and took her and my wife to uk for 3 months.( yes i know i should have got a thai passport also, didnt know at the time)
When her mum (thai) took her back to thailand, they stamped her passport with a 1 month visa,, even tho' they knew she was Thai.and they saw her birth certificate
My wife went to immigration later on (about 3 months after) and they said "dont worry about it cause she is only a child," . but i am worried that when she comes over in 6 months time they will want a fortune at the airport.
Now just recently, we have lost her uk passport , and are in the middle of getting a replacement. But when we get that, there wont be a visa in there, Do i go to immigration and ask them to stamp the old one in there? will all immigration have this on computer?
This is a nightmare for me as i am still in uk and just worrying daily about this.
Can anyone help me with some info please.
What to do???
In my mind its easy for an immigration person in an office to say dont worry about it, cause they are not there when we get to the airport.
Am i going to get fined or are they going to say dont worry and stamp it out, or are they going to throw the book at me??

Kids are exempt from fines I think.

If i got here a thai passport in Thailand when i go over and when i bring her back, would they stamp the overstay in the uk passport finished as she goes out, and would they also stamp the Thai one as well, Because i think they must have a stamp out of the country in their thai passports to enable them to return and get stamped in...yes?

how do i get araound this so i dont have this problem ever again?

as far as I know, there is the overstay stamp but no fine for children.

you dont have to show both at the airport, so show thai one to leave thai, brit one to enter brit and so on,

no problem, but travel with birth certificate, may ask for it...

I don't think there's a problem. A Thai citizen can't overstay in their own country.

I thought Tsicar was quite old, not a kid

as for the passport and visa question, it is a mess, so better to go to the consulate (if you are out of Thailand), or the appropriate gov section and get her sorted out

all it is is paperwork and bureaucracy, I am sure they will tell you what you need

Get her two passports.
Use the thai one coming in/out of thailand and the UK passport coming in/out of the UK.

^ Kids with dual citizenship ( Thai of course being one of them) are "supposedly" allowed to stay in Thailand with their Thai parent for an indefinite amount of time until they are 18 years old w/o any visa concerns.

Are children exempt from visa runs? I have a two-year-old child who entered Thailand on a 12-month multiple-entry “O” visa. I was told by Immigration that he doesn’t need to leave Thailand every 90 days as they don’t charge children under 14 with overstays.

However, a friend told me that she had asked Immigration and was told that her child would have to leave every 90 days. Which is correct?

“Although children under 14 years old are not fined for overstaying their permits-to-stay, it is still not good to have an overstay recorded on the child’s passport. If possible, you should take your child out of the country with you when you next go on a visa run, as your visas should expire at the same time.

As your child entered Thailand with a non-immigrant “O” visa, which I guess is dependent on your non-immigrant “O” visa, I suggest that you request a one-year permit-to-stay from Immigration for yourself and for your child.

This will enable you to stay without having to leave the country every 90 days. Your child will, however, need to report at an Immigration office every 90 days.

If, however, your child is a student, you can apply for your child to be issued an “ED-visa”, with which he can be issued a permit-to-stay for the scholastic year.

Can Thai people with a Thai passport travel to the UK without showing a UK Visa stamped inside ?

When she leaves thailand, yes they will stamp the uk passport out, but, if i have already obtained a thai passport before leaving, that will have no stamp in it when she leaves the country , so when she returns to thailand they will se no stamp in the thai passport for leaving thailand, so what will they do then? will they ask for the uk one again and stamp that with a 1month visa again?? Just seems like a never ending circle with no way of ending it. Comon lads you must all be up on this, or at least know someone who can give good advice.
The only way i know is that she leaves thailand on uk passport and then applies for a Thai passort in the uk and returns on that, but this takes 6 weeks to get and my wife cant stay that long in uk due to work,
rack your brains lads,there must be a way i am overlooking, this has to come to a good end

I have kids here with two passports each.


Somchai the immigration monkey asks to see your boarding pass along with your passport ( remember that part?) When the kids Thai passports are produced for departure you will be asked how they will be allowed to enter said country w/o the VERY FOKING HARD TO GET VISA FOR THAI PEOPLE TO ENTER THE UK or USA in my case.

Somchai is then told they have dual passports , Somchai then asks to see them to confirm this as SOMCHAI DOES NOT LET PEOPLE LEAVE HIS BELOVED FOKING KINGDOM W/O HIS GODFORSAKEN LITTLE PERMISSION.

Normally it is best for the Thai wife to do this as Somchai is a small minded cnut. But it is allowed for kids to do this at the present moment.
