It is the worst reporting on Thailand (on anything actually) that I have ever seen.
Complete and utter shit.
It's a terrible piece of overly dramatic reporting. The dubbing for the mama san and the ladyboy was terrible, and bias from the ECPAT guy who talks about girls 'just out of their teens in prostitution' (that's 20 years and older in my book) as 'children'. So much bad info in this report, unfortunately many will take it as gospel.
The sad thing is their is enough prostitution and pedophilia in Thailand to make a good newsworthy story anyway, if they just bothered to put the effort in to researching it properly.

I don't see why there will be any reaction from locals, it is exaggerated somewhat but is mostly true.

thats for damn sure, I was at a place in CM a couple years ago and was talking to a few guys, my wife was outside sitting in the shade takling to one of the guys GF. It was outside the Grace Hotel about four years ago. There were about six of them sitting on the wall that used to be there at about 4am. It was when the coffee shop was open serving booze 24/7.
