I willl mention, not easily, that I have had some very fine watches stolen from me under some very sordid circumstances. The cheap scam at bombay airport, the street whore in Manila, and if I ever bump into that Indian/American drug dealer called Roger (who was one of the dancers in MJ's Thriller) who stole two good watches from me in HK, I will give his clock a good cleaning. :(
I sold my gold roli (kindly donated to me by Merrill Lynch) second hand. It don't matter who you are- if you wear that shit in the Adelaide Hills, you will be laughed out of town. The only Good watch I have now is a Favre Leuba, an exquisitely obscure maker from Geneva. It rarely sees the light of day.
p.s:- A Tissot is a Workhorse, not a work of art. ;)
