52-Year-Old Woman Dies, Unidentified Man Seriously Injured, in Knife Fight at Sri Rac

A female security guard was stabbed to death by an unidentified man in a rented house, who was seriously injured from wounds sustained in the same fight.


Both people stabbed each other, resulting in the woman’s death and the man being found seriously injured in the bathroom. The incident occurred in the morning, but was discovered by the woman’s boyfriend when he returned from work in the evening.

At 5:30 p.m. on April 29, 2025, Pol. Col. Krit Thititasana, chief of Bowin Police Station, received a report of a fatal stabbing with two casualties at a rental room in Bowin, Sri Racha. He ordered Pol. Lt. Col. Kanoknan Suksri, an investigator at Bowin Police Station, along with a detective team, to inspect the scene. They found the body of a woman, stabbed once in the chest, lying dead inside the rental room while wearing a helmet. Another body, an unidentified man, was found face-down in the bathroom, initially presumed dead.


Mr. Sanya Krasang, a factory worker and the tenant of the room, was present and informed the police that he returned from work around 5:20 p.m., opened the door, and found the body of his girlfriend, Ms. Wannapha Thiprot, aged 52, with whom he had been in a relationship for over three years, lying in a pool of blood.

He also discovered an unknown man in the bathroom with multiple stab wounds to his front. Mr. Sanya immediately called the police. Upon further inspection, authorities and forensic officers found that the man in the bathroom was still alive. Rescue personnel were quickly dispatched to provide aid and rush him to a local hospital.


A neighbor, Ms. Thipmat Jabthong, who rents the adjacent room, reported hearing an argument around 8:27 a.m. that soon went quiet. She didn’t pay much attention, assuming it was a domestic dispute, and only learned of the stabbing when police arrived in the evening.

Police will collect evidence from the scene and await the recovery of the injured man to determine the true cause of the incident.
