Second Foreign Body in Two Days Found in Ocean Near Pattaya
An unidentified foreign body was found floating near a beach in Pattaya on Friday morning (November 22nd). This is the second body found in the ocean in two days in the area, with the first being in Sattahip as we reported here.
The Pattaya City Police were notified of the body at 7:30 A.M. at the Wong Amart Beach. Police, rescue workers, and the Pattaya News team arrived at the beach to find that the body was found floating face down in the sea about two meters from the shore. Rescue workers pulled the body back to the beach.
The body was a male foreigner aged around 50-60 wearing swimming shorts. Accessories were found on his body such as necklace, watch, and ring. Police believed that he died at least two hours before his body was found. No identification documents were found with him.
Witnesses told police that they were walking along the beach before seeing the body in the water. Police are continuing their investigation to identify the body. At this stage his cause of death is believed to be drowning and not directly connected to the other death in Sattahip the day prior.
