Polish Man Arrested after Allegedly Stealing Over 10,000 Baht of Food and Drinks

A Polish man was arrested after he was caught allegedly stealing food and drinks costing 13,376 Baht at a supermarket in Rawai, Phuket.


The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (February 7th) they arrested a 49-year-old Polish man at a supermarket in Rawai.

Seized from him were an avocado (119 Baht), a bottle of honey (225 Baht), a bottle of beer (119 Baht), a bottle of olive oil (279 Baht), two bottles of whisky (9,999 Baht and 2,099 Baht), butter (254 Baht) and a tea box (282 Baht).


He was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of theft. His name was not released to the press nor were the specific details around his alleged actions.


The suspect did not release a statement to the media and it was not immediately known if he had a lawyer.

So basically, if the nationality of an alleged law breaker is not given, then he/she must be Chinese, right?

So, he was an alcoholic vegetarian on his uppers.

It sounded like the kind of haul Mao might have.

Maybe that's why he's been working on his running.

Have drank alcohol twice in the last 6 months, but that bottle of blue label does look nice.

With Songkran apparently lasting three weeks this year I might need extra supplies.

So he nicked Bt10,000 of swag and Bt9,999 of it was whisky. Why did he bother with the other stuff, the silly sod.

Most likely because he's pulled the same stunt several times before without a problem.
