The 2 blade propeller behind the Mk I was K5054 the Mk 0 Spitfire prototype which was the only spitfire that RJ Mitchell ever saw in flight before he passed away in 1937

Possibly the most iconic aeroplane in the history of aviation is the Spitfire with the Vulcan bomber a close second then followed by the A380.
I've owned several spitfire models over the years and spent weeks with my eldest making a paper mache Vulcan for a school project that won.
As for the A380, it was luxury air travel at its finest and my most enjoyable flight out of hundreds of different flights.
Apart from that mile high session with an Aussie bird on Lauda Air.Oh and that session in Aeroflot club class over Angola. What happens in the air stays in the air.
Then again this is all open to peeps personal preference and history...

From seeing all Looper's pics I'm tempted to ask me mum if she's still got me Airfix collection of about 3. :) The F117 was beaut. To think, must have bought it 1/3 of a century ago, and still looks completely modern.
Really? I liked the A380, the few times I've flown it. Much quieter, and no problem with the seats etc. Would even pay a wee bit more for the privilege.
