Cheap living in the country
I very rarely go out in Udon, usually save it for my trips to BKK or Patts. But did so last night, took 3000 Bt with me which is what i would spend on a meal and a few drinks for a quiet night out in BKK.
1st stop a American restaurant bar, Pleasant owner & good food, had BBQ chicken and fries and battered Calamari and fries (yanks like their fries don't they?) washed down with a Lg beer. The chicken was good the Calamari was pretty crap so over another small beer I told the owner how to run his restaurant.:)
So then wandered down to Farang alley, A collection of about 20 open air bars, saw a mate sitting at one, so sat and had a chat. Now we reckoned this bar should be renamed to Nom Yai bar, the girls had a fine collection of mammary assets and were proudly showing them off.
My mate took off home, and one girl latched onto me, (they are bit desperate in Udon).
I ordered anther small beer and as in appreciation of the great neck massage she was giving my todger, I brough her a LD, a Malibu I think it was.
She was quite keen to get me to avail myslf of her services so went the menu of her accomplishments. I told her that it a waste of money for me because these days it would all be down and dusted in 15 mins and without the ability to indulge in repeat performances its hardly worth the effort and cost for BF, Hotel room and her renumuration modest as it would be. She said we could use her room, she had her own room at the cost of 700 bt a MONTH.
I politely declined, ordered one more small beer, finished that and took of home.
The amazing thing is that after this nights meal, beer at the restaurant, Lady Drink and 2 beers at the bar, I still had 2500 Bt left. Only 500 Bt !
In BKK that wouldn't even get me the 100 mtrs from the hotel I stay at in Suk Soi 20 to Sukumvit rd.
