Govt. seeks to improve lives of Thai women in Hong Kong

BANGKOK, 28 August 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has launched a project to develop the quality of life of Thai women in Hong Kong.

The ministry’s inspector, Samphan Suwannathap, and his entourage on Sunday traveled to Hong Kong to organize the project from 27-29 August 2016. He said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had a policy to take care of Thai women in Thailand and other countries worldwide. The premier wanted Thai citizens living outside the country to love and help one another and build a positive reputation for Thailand, said the inspector.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were more than one million Thai people living in other countries in 2012. More than 27,000 Thai people are in Hong Kong, according to statistics of the Hong Kong Immigration Department.

The problems of Thai women as well as a Thai community in Hong Kong include adjustment to their husband’s family, social and cultural differences, drug addiction and gambling.

Perhaps a softer bed to reduce back strain - from all that rumpy pumpy, might improve their life..

In addition the good, thoughtful, general, could tape the popular Lakon series, post it to the damsels in distress... that should alleviate stress and discomfort for the poor girls away from the loving embrace of Toyland.

There was an OP about that Thai society woman sending her innocent maids to Hong Kong to be sold by her. If they didn't go she would accuse them of stealing her gold.

A move toward the thai diaspora who is maybe less sensible to Junta PR? Surely that's why expatriated thai people weren't invited to vote for the referrendum...
I saw some girls who do eat'n'talk videos, and they ain't shy to voice their opinion...

They also funel large amount of money to Thailand.

But I agree that expatriation has some traps that need to be discussed before going there and on site as well... sometimes life abroad is simply not as bright as they think it would and there are also the stories of forced labour, forced prostitution ... Ambassy/consulate in theses countries should already be able to help distressed people, but that's rarely implemented (unless for the more problematic cases ), setting up networks for those expats to help each other may work though...
