A 3-metre long and 300-kilo weighed crocodile escaped from a farm in Nong Khai was recaptured last night lying near a dog cage.
The recapture of this crocodile came after a fruit farm owner on Nong Khai-Phonpisai road in Phonpisai district was awakened from his bed by dog barks.
He came out and checked and finally found a crocodile lying near the dog cage.
Shocked by the unexpected visit, he immediately alerted his neighbours and sought their help.
Rescue officials and workers from a crocodile farm arrived and managed to recapture it.
The farm workers told police that the escaped crocodile named “Chompoo” is among four crocodiles escaped from the farm a few days earlier.
Three had been recaptured except Chompoo, they said.
