NASA’s Hubble telescope has captured a star 20 x the size of the Sun exploding
NASA’s Hubble telescope has captured mesmerising footage of an exploded star.
Or to be more precise, it’s captured colourful wisps of gas, which are just a small portion of the Veil Nebula which exploded 8,000 years ago.
It’s around 110 light years across, which covers six full moons as seen from our planet.
The Veil Nebula is located 2,100 light-years away near the Cygnus constellation.

The image show's just a small portion of the remnants of the supernova, which was 20 times bigger than our sun.:eek2:
They were created from data collected by Hubble, which has been orbiting Earth since 1990.
